Making hospitals more welcoming to children and their families.
Hospitals can be intimidating to kids. The unfamiliar sounds, equipment and people can upset them. Your support of the Matthew Hindman Memorial Patient Assistance Fund can help provide resources to ease children’s anxieties while they’re in the hospital.
Matthew Hindman Memorial Patient Assistance
Matthew was born with Moebius Syndrome, a disease that required him to have a tracheotomy and a ventilator throughout his brief but meaningful life. He lost his battle with the disease at the tender age of 5 ½. The fund, established by his parents as a tribute to Matthew, helps other children facing medical challenges. Funds are used to purchase needed pediatric medical equipment, learning toys, items to support newborns suffering from Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS), and needed comfort items such as clothing and undergarments.
Your gift to this fund ensures that our pediatric patients receive the care and support they need regardless of their parents’ ability to pay for care.
